Girl Scout Activities

1/2/2013 Since Girl Scouts started this past Fall, we have been working on a patch called Manners Count.  We have learned how to set the table, good sportsmanship, and actively practice saying "please" and "thank you" throughout our meetings.  The girls each gave a "Thank You" card to a person in the community that she felt should be thanked for the things that they do.

We have worked on learning the Girl Scout Promise and law for an upcoming investiture ceremony, and have been working on decorative paper bowls made from discarded magazines as part of learning to use resources wisely.

For Christmas, we made miniature God's eyes out of toothpicks and crochet cotton.  We got together to help deliver Meals on Wheels right before Christmas, and sang Christmas carols to the people that received the meals.  Later that evening, we got together with the other Girl Scout troops for a Christmas program and party.
